According to the investigation by Mould.com CEO Luo Baihui, the following main problems have been found in China's metal stamping parts industry:
1. The degree of specialization is low, the scale cannot be formed, and the economic benefits are poor
Compared with the main engine, the investment of metal stamping parts is relatively small for the establishment of initial capital and technology. After several periods of great economic development in the country, a number of private production enterprises have sprung up, but due to the large number of market demand and batch It is small and does not form an economic scale. Most hardware manufacturing enterprises are large and complete or small and complete, with low degree of specialization, low level of equipment, unstable quality, and low economic benefits. For example, the total annual output of the three large-scale backbone enterprises in my country's motor industry is less than 50% of a famous foreign company. In the past two years, thousands of stamping parts factories have been built in some areas of my country, but only a few have an annual output of more than 300,000 pieces. The main products are agricultural machinery. The German Rexroth company produces 1.3 million pieces of various stamping products per year, and Japan Yuken Co., Ltd. also produces more than 600,000 pieces per year. The per capita output value of mold companies in industrial developed countries is about 150,000 to 200,000 US dollars, while in my country, there is only 40,000 to 50,000 yuan. Luo Baihui pointed out that in recent years, with the implementation of the common development policy of multiple ownership systems, the hardware industry is undergoing a development process from decentralization to gradual intensification.
2. Insufficient capital investment and weak research and development capabilities
Various hardware industries introduced a number of advanced foreign technologies in the late 1970s and early 1980s, but they lacked sufficient software and hardware inputs for digestion and absorption. According to foreign experience, the ratio between the introduction of technology and the capital required for digestion and absorption is about 1:7, but our country’s understanding of this is relatively late and the digestion and absorption steps are slower. Market competition is actually a contest of technical strength. Foreign countries attach great importance to this and have increased their investment to occupy the commanding heights of technology. The funds used by major famous companies for scientific research and development accounted for 4% to 5% of their sales, and key areas accounted for 10%. Although many universities and colleges in my country are engaged in scientific research, and many theoretical research, scientific research results, and patent papers are of a high level, they are not closely integrated with the actual production, and the conversion into commodities is particularly slow.
Three, raw materials and related technologies are backward
Due to the poor quality of domestic steel used in fasteners, chains, springs, bearings, molds and other products, the quality of stamping parts is directly affected. Mechanical basic parts are generally produced in batches and in large quantities, and there are also many varieties and high-precision products. Therefore, the production technology and equipment are required to be high and the investment is large. High-efficiency and high-precision special machines, production lines or flexible lines are often used abroad to realize efficient and automated production. However, some basic parts enterprises in our country are restricted by funds, investment is not large, the enterprises have poor self-renovation ability, and lack of advanced equipment and lack of supporting facilities, which affects the quality of products.
